Teaching Philosophy:

I have always thought of myself as more of a mentor than a teacher.  My job is to lead the students on a journey of growth each semester. The best way to achieve a successful journey is to lead by example. I am passionate about design and hold myself to a high standard of professionalism. I expect the same from my students.

I constantly engage and challenge my students. A career in design requires the ability to effectively articulate concepts, along with a thick skin. From the first day of class, I encourage open discussions and critiques. Design is a collaborative process that relies on constructive, critical and intelligent feedback. All work is judged in an open forum. The students are expected to question each other’s work and explain their design decisions.

Fall 2022 Semester:

I am teaching Public Speaking at DeVry University, Advertising in the Digital Age at Touro College, Graphic Design at Kentucky Wesleyan College and Identity Design at Bellevue University. I have also been a long time adjunct at The New York Institute for Technology
